【　校長先生からの手紙　】

シンガポールにある学校の校長先生が、試験前に、生徒の親御さんに送った手紙です

Dear parents

お子さんの受験ももうすぐ始まります。
皆さんは自分の子供が良い結果を出してくれるに大変心配されていると思います。

しかし、受験生の中には、
数学を理解する必要のない芸術家がいることを忘れないでください
歴史や英文学を気にしない起業家もいます
化学の点数が問題にならない音楽家もいます
物理学よりも体力が大事なアスリートがいます

もし、あなたのお子さんがトップの成績を取ったら、それは素晴らしいことです。
しかし、もしそうでなくても、子供たちの自信と尊厳を奪わないでください。

「大丈夫、これはただの試験だよ！」と言ってあげてください

子供たちは人生の中でもっと大きなことに挑戦しているんだから
何点であろうと、あなたは子供たちを愛しており、
子供たちをこれで評価することはないと伝えてください。

そうすれば、あなたの子供たちが世界を征服するのを見ることができるでしょう。
一回の試験や低い点数では、子供たちの夢や才能を奪うことはできません。
そしてどうか、医師やエンジニアだけが世界で幸せな人たちだとは思わないでください。

A school principal in Singapore sent this letter to parents before exam season. Wise words.

The exams of your children are to start soon.
I know you are all really anxious for your child to do well.
But , please do remember, amongst the students who will be sitting for the exams there is an artist, who doesn't need to understand Math...
There is an entrepreneur, who doesn't care about History or English literature.
There is a musician, whose Chemistry marks won't matter.
There is an athlete, whose physical fitness is more important than Physics.
If your child does get top marks, that's great.
But if he or she doesn't, please don't take away their self-confidence and dignity from them.
Tell them it's OK, it's just an exam!
They are cut out for much bigger things in life.
Tell them, no matter what they score, you love them and will not judge them.
Please do this, and when you do, watch your children conquer the world. One exam or a low mark won't take away, their dreams and talent.,
And please do not think that doctors and engineers are the only happy people in the world.

すいません、出典がこちらではわかりませんが、いいお手紙だなぁと思いました。

僕が鼓鐵でもとんとこでも思っているのは、

チーム作りにおいて「虹色チーム」を目指したいと考えています。

それぞれ能力は様々です。

長所、短所が個々にあります。

集まったメンバーが自分の長所をチームにもたらすことで虹色に輝くチーム。

得意、特技、特徴、能力、キャラクターを個々に発揮できるチームが大事なんじゃないかな。そう思っています。

長所伸展法。得意なことをさらに伸ばしていこう。
